Release update: planes, missiles and zeppelins


As a second experiment in Phaser.js I made this airplane shooter. I started out with just the plane, making the movement feel good and playful. After that the easiest way to proceed was adding some planes similar to the player airplane, in a wave coming from both sides. They shoot some bullets at you but are not the most threatening.

So I decided something had to be more dangerous, which is where the missiles came in. They basically shoot up from the ground. I still consider having some tanks on the ground the shoot them but for now they just launch from the ground. They chase you around and have a maximum height. Above that, they fall down.

So then there was kind of a safe space in the top layer of the sky. Of course, safe spaces in a shooter are stupid so I added a zeppelin that shoots bullets in a semi circle at you. The zeppelin takes some shots before it explodes too.

What do you think would improve this game, more enemies? I'm still thinking about adding a plane with more varied movement that would chase the player around, similar to the missiles but while shooting bullets as well. It would be more of a dogfight and would add to the challenge as well. Let me know in the comments!
